- Tops, pants
Foot Therapy is built on the concept of "a salon that travels the worlds of Asia," offering relaxation rooted in traditional Eastern medicine and time-honored approaches to health and beauty — from head spa to face, décolleté, and foot treatments. Alongside the renewal of its store interiors, we assisted with a renewal of the staff uniforms.
The existing uniforms were off-the-shelf, and the salon wanted originality. Oil gets onto the tops — perhaps an apron is needed? And the team wanted tops and pants that are truly easy to move in.
The new uniform born from these requests is a simple pairing of a tunic-length top with pants.
To break free of the assumption that a relaxation salon means aprons, we proposed a top combining two fabrics with different strengths: a moisture-wicking, quick-drying fabric for the upper body, where perspiration gathers, and a water-repellent fabric for the lower portion, where water and oil tend to land. Even without an apron, staff can work without worrying about stains, and the uniforms hold up over long use.
An oversized silhouette, dropped shoulders, and the tunic length deliver unmatched ease of movement, relieving stress on the job — a uniform only custom design could produce.
With the store renewal and uniform renewal landing together, this became a case of using the uniform itself, skillfully, to establish the brand.
